The super cyclone Asani has resulted in one good thing.

The monsoon in 2022 is going to hit the cost at Kerala four days early on 27th of May when compared with the normal onset date.

And the reason given by weather scientists is – cyclone Asani.

The influence of the remnants of cyclone Asani that triggered the cross-equatorial flow, a key factor for the seasonal rains is going to bring the Monsoon rains ahead than is normal timeline of  1st June hitting the coast of Kerala.

“This year, the onset of southwest monsoon over Kerala is likely to be earlier than the normal date of onset. The monsoon onset over Kerala is likely to be on May 27 with a model error of four days,” India Meteorological Department (ID) said.

In 2009, the south-west monsoon had reached Kerala on May 23.
