The new defence minister of Australia Richard Marles is in Delhi to reaffirm his county’s strategic partnership with India and has brought a special message from the new government of prime minister Mr Anthony Albanese.
Mr Marles also holds rank of Australian Deputy Prime Minister held talks with EAM Dr S Jaishankar on Tuesday the 21st of June 2022.
Jaishankar in a tweet said – “Delighted to meet Deputy PM & Defence Minister @RichardMarlesMP of Australia” and added that in his meeting both “agreed on the importance of strengthening our Strategic Partnership to effectively address contemporary challenges.”
In his reply the Australian Defence Minister in his tweet stated that it is indeed “wonderful to meet India’s External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar – a great friend of Australia.
Mr Marles who landed in Delhi yesterday began his day on Tuesday by celebrating the International Yoga Day and posted a picture of himself doing yoga.
